Some iconic television makes you realize how it changed the face of television while others, well, may make you crave a warm bowl of Jambalaya.

While very different shows in different eras, The Jeffersons and Seinfeld are undeniably favorites for any television sitcom fan and two clips from this week’s episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now? show just how much each contributed to our culture in their own unique way.

In the clip below, Marla Gibbs, who played The Jeffersons sassy maid, Florence, explains how the CBS sitcom changed the face of television by executive producer Norman Lear’s decision to merely reflect the diverse world in which we lived and serve an underrepresented segment of America.

While many catch phrases came out of Seinfeld, Larry Thomas will tell you that playing the Soup Nazi in a 1995 episode of the Emmy-winning NBC series resonates just as strongly today as does the phrase, “No soup for you!” Check out how the Soup Nazi is still very much a part of Thomas’s life today.

Oprah: Where Are They Now? airs Saturday at 10/9c on OWN.
