Amy Schumer Lends Voice to ‘The Simpsons’, ‘Family Guy’, ‘Bob’s Burgers’ Season Premieres
Everybody wants Amy Schumer, including all three of Fox’s cartoon hits. Each kicks off the new season with a character voiced by the heat-seeking blonde, plus all three episodes are musical. “It required a military operation to pull it all off,” says Bob’s Burgers executive producer Jim Dauterive.
Bob’s Burgers
Louise’s favorite toy, Kuchi Kopi, accidentally goes down the toilet while she’s battling the flu, triggering a musical fever dream in which all her toys come to life. Meanwhile, dad Bob heads out in the middle of the night to find a replacement and encounters another frantic toy shopper, voiced by Schumer. Later in the season, Aunt Gayle decides to hire an agent—voiced by John Oliver—to represent her cat. And Gene freaks when his favorite chocolate bar no longer tastes the same. “He goes on a one-boy crusade to get the candy company to change back to the original formula,” says Dauterive. “It’s his Norma Rae moment.”

Family Guy
There’s always a Yoko. In the season premiere, Stewie and Brian form a Wiggles-like singing duo only to be broken up by Stewie’s conniving ex-girlfriend Olivia. Also in that episode, Stewie joins a construction crew with a hard-assed boss (that would be Schumer), and Peter and Lois force Chris to get a part-time job. The kid ends up managing Quagmire’s disgusting sex life. Cracks showrunner Rich Appel: “Lois is not happy because she thought her son would earn money trimming bushes. The punch lines practically write themselves!” Controversial do-gooder Sean Penn will parachute into Quahog to dispense kiddie vaccinations, and an airline strike has Quagmire becoming a stripper—with Peter as his pimp.

The Simpsons
Who knew Schumer was to blame for Mr. Burns? She’ll play the evil overlord’s mommy in a flashback that reveals why he grew up to be so damn mean. Homer takes the family on a “hate-cation” to Boston to prove the town sucks. Anchorman Kent Brockman is fired after he pulls a Brian Williams and lies about his exploits in Iraq. And “Krusty the Clown is marketing a new kiddie snack that contains formaldehyde,” says exec producer Al Jean. “On the upside, the paralysis lasts four years, tops.”
