Lori Acken

Lori Acken spent her childhood attempting to recreate Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood of Make-Believe (minus Lady Elaine) in her basement, and her adolescence plotting to be a Sweathog (without making her mother mad). This career is destiny. Her first celebrity interview — Kenny Loggins — lasted two hours, long after the microcassette and any common sense ran out, and encompassed the benefits of wheat grass, meditation and Christmas tunes. Though she’s since enjoyed sit-downs with Morgan Freeman, Anthony Hopkins, Michael Douglas, Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker and dozens of others, her favorite career-related memory is having sushi with Leif Garrett in Hollywood —because you just do not outgrow a crush like that.
