‘9-1-1’ Episode 100: ‘Envious’ Buck, Plus the 118 Heads to ‘Bachelor’ Mansion (PHOTOS)
What do Athena (Angela Bassett) and Bobby (Peter Krause) do after their honeymoon turned into a complete disaster? Get right back to it in the next 9-1-1 episode, of course—and it’s a special one, the milestone 100th, airing on April 4.
In “Buck, Bothered and Bewildered,” Athena’s son, Harry, finds himself in trouble with the law. Meanwhile, Buck (Oliver Stark) grows envious as Eddie (Ryan Guzman) forms a close bond with someone else. And there’s The Bachelor crossover, with the 118 rescuing a woman who’s stuck on receiving a rose at the iconic mansion—to the point that, as the promo (which you can watch above) reveals, she glues herself to the driveway. The photos, below, also offer a look at that and tease what’s going on with Buck and Eddie, with Lou Ferrigno Jr. back as Tommy.
“Reaching 100 episodes these days is a rarity,” Krause told TV Insider and admitted, “I don’t know that much about The Bachelor, to be honest, but … it’s very interesting to see scripted and non-scripted shows collide on 9-1-1.”
As for the rest of the episode, Stark said it’s “a really interesting [one]. It’s everybody coming back together and a number of different characters have really meaningful storylines in the episode. Obviously, there are emergencies, but it also leans very heavy on character.” Guzman agreed, noting, “It’s just more of what the show offers all the time. It’s just a great mixture of chaotic events, severe events with humor, and really heartfelt moments scattered throughout.”
Kenneth Choi shared that while they were filming the last day, Aisha Hinds realized that not everyone was in every episode, so they all started counting. “We just kept ribbing each other. Actually, we did it so much that I changed Aisha’s contact in my phone from Aisha Hinds to Aisha 98,” he laughed. “And then we realized that Angela has been in every episode, so she’s actually the only OG 100-episode actor.”
Added Hinds, “It turns out, and of no surprise to me, that of all those guys, I am the hardest working actor on this show outside of Angela Bassett. She literally is factually and actually physically present in all 100 episodes up to the 100th episode. I think Peter and I tie for maybe 98.” (Guzman told us with a laugh, “I have been reminded now over and over again by my fellow cast members that it’s not technically my 100th episode, it’s their 100th episode, since I came on Season 2. But I’m so happy for everybody.”)
