A Black Lady Sketch Show is a narrative series set in a limitless magical reality full of dynamic, hilarious characters and celebrity guests.
The show, which premieres Friday, August 2 on HBO, is full of firsts: the first all-black women writer’s room, the first black woman sketch director (Dime Davis), and the first sketch series cast comprised entirely of black women.
The core cast, which includes Robin Thede, Ashley Nicole Black, Gabrielle Dennis and Quinta Brunson, boasts a unique comedic edge.
A Black Lady Sketch Show will also feature guest star appearances from Angela Basset, Tia Mowry, Laverne Cox, Kelly Rowland and others.
