Decoding the ‘Andor’ Season 2 Trailer: 11 Easter Eggs We Spotted

The revolution starts now.

It’s been almost three years since we’ve seen Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and the group of Rebels and Imperials that hold the fate of a galaxy far, far away in their hands. Thankfully, we got a glimpse of Season 2 on Tuesday (February 26) with a minute-and-a-half-long trailer set to “The Revolution Starts Now” by Steve Earle.

It’s a relatively short first look at the show’s last 12 episodes, but Lucasfilm has packed plenty into those 95 seconds — and unless you’ve watched the trailer dozens of times, you might’ve missed some of the smaller details.

Here’s what stood out to us.

Elizabeth Dulau as Kleya Marki and Diego Luna as Cassian Andor in Andor Season 2
Disney+

Kleya and Cassian have a disagreement

At first glance, you might be tempted to say this is Cassian’s good friend and former Ferrix mechanic Bix (Adria Arjona), but look closer — the woman angrily grabbing Cassian is, in fact, Luthen’s loyal assistant, Kleya (Elizabeth Dulau). Given how furious and heartbroken she looks, we imagine this doesn’t bode well for Luthen (Stellan Skarsgard), who’s intent on “burning his life to make a sunrise that he knows he’ll never see.”

Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen in Andor Season 2
Disney+

It’s clear from this trailer that after being tortured and imprisoned by the Empire in Season 1, Bix Caleen is ready to fight. We see her with Cassian as they detonate explosives in a building in the background (an Imperial facility, one would think), but we also see her earlier on in the trailer, running and firing a blaster to kill an Imperial officer. In both images, she’s wearing the same cloak.

Duncan Pow as Melshi in Andor Season 2
Disney+

Melshi's return

Whether or not you remember Melshi (Duncan Pow) from his original appearance in Rogue One, you probably remember him from Andor’s Narkina Five arc. There, he and Cassian were the only two prisoners confirmed to escape the Imperial facility — and it seems he and Cassian will connect again at some point during Andor’s second season. Here, we see Melshi with a blaster in his hand, likely fighting against Imperial forces.

Joplin Sibtain as Brasso in Andor Season 2

Brasso is in trouble

Whether or not you’ve rewatched Andor since its Season 1 finale, you remember Brasso (Joplin Sibtain): his “clobbering an Imperial over the head with a funeral brick” moment to kick off the Rix Road uprising was instantly iconic. He left Ferrix safely with several of Cassian’s other friends at the end of the finale, but here, he seems to have run into trouble as he fights to break free from two troopers.

Varada Sethu as Cinta Kaz in Andor Season 2
Disney+

Cinta sets off an explosion

Cassian and Bix aren’t the only ones blowing things up! A few eagle-eyed members of the Andor fanbase noticed that this shadowy blur in the trailer was, in fact, Cinta Kaz (Varada Sethu), a former member of the Aldhani heist crew. Having lost her whole family to the Empire, she’s committed to the fight — but where’s her girlfriend (and Mon Mothma’s cousin), Vel Sartha (Faye Marsay)?

Diego Luna as Cassian Andor in Andor Season 2

Cassian and Bix reunite

On the same planet where Brasso is seemingly captured, Cassian and Bix appear to meet again — one would think this precedes their explosive outing earlier in the trailer. While it’s clear that Bix makes it off the planet safely, it’s less clear what happens to Jezzi (Pamela Nomvete), Wilmon (Muhannad Bhaier), and Cassian’s loyal droid, B2EM0.

Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma in Andor Season 2

Two parties

We see Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) at what appears to be a lively party in the trailer — potentially her daughter’s wedding. Look closer, however, and you’ll see what’s shown is actually two different gatherings; one is held during the day, and one is at night. In one, Mon wears a gold dress, and in the other, at night, she appears to have on a dress that’s lighter in color.

Jacob James Beswick as Attendant Heert in Andor Season 2

Dedra's attendant takes initiative

The trailer shows a few shots of troopers and Imperial fighters running down hallways (a Star Wars classic), but this shot is particularly interesting. In the back left, the officer with a hat on is Dedra’s (Denise Gough) attendant, Heert (Jacob James Beswick). Even more interesting is the possibility that he’s wearing a white tunic, rather than a gray one. It could be a trick of the light, but if it’s not, how did Heert get promoted? And, perhaps more importantly,  did he betray his boss to climb the ladder, as is the way for Imperials?

Ben Mendelsohn as Krennic in Andor Season 2

Krennic and the ISB

We’ve known for months that Director Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) was set to return for Andor’s second season, but here, we get some hints as to what he’ll be doing and who he’ll be working with. We see Krennic briefly at one of the parties Mon Mothma attends; he’s talking to her in this particular screenshot. Also intriguing are the ISB officers over Krennic’s shoulder — one of whom is Lagret (Michael Jenn), a captain with the ISB who appeared in many of the boardroom scenes in Season 1. The blurry person to Krennic’s right might be Heert, Dedra’s attendant.

Kyle Soller as Syril Karn in Andor Season 2

Syril in chaos

The shot of a surprised-looking Syril Karn (Kyle Soller) running out to the front of a building isn’t difficult to miss, but it’s worth pointing out that he appears to be stationed at the same place where much of the chaos and explosions are taking place in the trailer. It looks like there’ll be a riot on the planet, and Syril might find himself in grave danger if he doesn’t get back inside. We also know Cassian will show up at this location, so the two might come face-to-face — and Syril might have another (doomed) opportunity to bring Cassian to justice. Syril’s mother, Eedy (Kathryn Hunter), a fan-favorite from Season 1, also makes a brief appearance toward the end of the trailer.

Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera in Andor Season 2

Saw's new protege?

It’s not necessarily obvious, but we think Saw’s (Forest Whitaker) line at the end of the trailer is being delivered to Wilmon Paak, who is standing in front of Saw. Poor Wilmon lost his father to the Empire’s cruelty when the ISB descended on Ferrix, and with that in mind, it’s not difficult to understand why he might turn to Saw and his extreme band of rebels as a way to fight back. Knowing Saw’s ruthlessness, we’re not sure this will end well for Wilmon.
