‘Based on a True Story’: Melissa Fumero Joins Kaley Cuoco & Crew in Season 2 First Look (PHOTOS)

Peacock‘s outrageous serial killer comedy Based on a True Story is almost back with Season 2 as the streamer unveils a premiere date, teaser, and photos for the upcoming chapter.

Starring Kaley Cuoco, Chris Messina, Tom Bateman, Liana Liberato, and the latest addition, Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Melissa Fumero, Based on a True Story is officially set to premiere with eight all-new episodes on Thursday, November 21. As fans will recall, the series finds Ava (Cuoco) and Nathan Bartlett (Messina) become entwined with serial killer Matt (Bateman) when they convince him to create a true crime podcast with them. Things become complicated when Ava’s sister Tory (Liberato) gets in the mix as she shows a liking to Matt.

In Season 2, Ava and Nathan are three months into being new parents and are focused on caring for their family, with Ava putting aside her true crime obsession by returning to work as a real estate agent and Nathan taking on private tennis clients. But just as they’re getting their lives back on track, a string of new murders pulls Ava back in as she tries to uncover if serial killer Matt is behind them. She’s especially invested considering her sister Troy’s ties to Matt.

But for a while things are good though as Ava makes a new friend in Drew (Fumero), providing her with a distraction as Nathan is eager to reignite his tennis career as well as his friendship with Matt. The good times can’t last forever though as danger comes knocking at their doors. In addition to the premiere date, and images, below, Peacock unveiled a fun teaser, which you can watch, above.
