Best Lines of the Week (June 16-22): ‘It’s Not Crazy. It’s Valentino’
Streaming went full-throttle this week, releasing new seasons of our favorites and new series that are sure to join that list. No matter the case, these shows packed a punch with great dialogue.
And Just Like That… premiered its sophomore season updating us on our favorite fashionista, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), and with the lead-up to the Met Gala. The Bear returned, with Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), and the rest gearing up to open their new restaurant (and quite the guest list for one Season 2 episode).
Plus, there were live events like the U.S. Open and America’s Got Talent that never fail to provide iconic moments with memorable quotes. From witnessing Wyndham Clark’s first career win to golden-buzzer moments, we were kept on the edges of our seats.

Riverdale (The CW)
“Tell us: Who’s packing the most heat?”

And Just Like That (Max)

— Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker) tells off her husband Herbert (Christopher Jackson) when he claims that her extravagant dress is crazy, but it’s simply designer.
U.S. Open (NBC)

The Idol (Max)
“And you got Mike Dean comin’ here? Well, then what the f**k you wasting time talking to me? Get to work.”

Glamorous (Netflix)
“Do y’all wake up desperate to smash that snooze button? Is the struggle to be a grown-up realer than real? Do you have literally no idea what you’re gonna do with your life?”
— In the first scene of the series, Marco Mejia (Miss Benny)shares some hilarious and truthful questions about life that he doesn’t have the answers to.
The Bear (Hulu)
“It’s a love story, baby, just say yes!”
— Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) passionately sings along to Taylor Swift in the car.
Secret Invasion (Disney+)
Prescod: “Imagine a world where information can’t be trusted. Not very hard, is it? News service says one thing, website says another. Society starts to fray. All we can turn to are the people we care about. But what if those people weren’t who we thought they were? What if the ones closest to us, the ones we’ve trusted our whole lives…were someone else entirely? What if they weren’t even human?”
