Lieutenant Sidney “Sid” Gormley (Robert Clohessy)
We’ve gotten a few stories involving Sid over the years — and the Season 9 finale did see Frank’s inner circle trying to spend a day in each other’s shoes — but for the most part, what we see of him is in relation to Frank’s office.
Sean Reagan (Andrew Terraciano)
We’ve seen a bit with Sean over the years (his award, Eddie helping him), but before he’s the next one to disappear off-screen to college, we should get another episode with some focus on him.
Deputy Commissioner Garrett Moore (Gregory Jbara)
Garrett is oftentimes the non-PD voice in Frank’s office with regards to what they tell the public, and the two men don’t always agree. It could be interesting to see what a day is like in his life.
Jack Boyle (Peter Hermann)
He may be Erin’s ex-husband and their relationship will probably always be rocky, but he is Nicky’s father and will always be in their lives. We’ve explored a bit about his life in the past, but maybe it’s time to see more with him. Maybe while he’s around other members of the Reagans?
Jack Reagan (Tony Terraciano)
Jack went off to college in Season 9, and it could be interesting to see what it’s like when he returns for break. Perhaps it could be in a story that involves another member of the family — not his father.
Detective Abigail Baker (Abigail Hawk)
We’ve seen bits and pieces about Baker over the years — most recently when her husband was shot — but considering everything she does for Frank as his aide, it’s time she take a step into the spotlight.
Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez)
Baez has been Danny’s partner since Season 3, and the series has given her some focus over the years (including a guest spot from Kirk Acevedo as her brother). But it’s time for another episode that reveals more about her (perhaps her personal life?) or sees her get really invested in a case.
Blue Bloods is and will always be about the Reagans (particularly the adults), but that doesn’t mean the other characters don’t deserve some love.
To that end, we’re taking a look at which characters deserve to get some focus, in the upcoming 10th season or beyond, but keep in mind: that doesn’t mean that the entire episode needs to be about them. We’re just hoping to see and learn a bit more about them!
