USA Network is venturing into Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World with a series adaptation, and the show’s cast continues to grow each passing week.
Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-nominated actress Demi Moore is the latest star to join the growing roster, as she’s set to play Linda — mother to Alden Ehrenreich‘s John. Brave New World is an adaptation of Huxley’s classic 1932 novel of the same name which is set in a utopian (or dystopian, to some) society.
In the society, “peace and stability” have been achieved through “the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money, family and history itself.” The story follows the New Londoners Bernard Marx (Harry Lloyd) and Lenina Crowne (Jessica Brown Findlay) as they attempt to find out what life is like beyond the structure of their society.
While vacationing in in the Savage Lands when rebellion breaks out, Lenina and Bernard are saved by John the Savage, who returns with them to New London. With John’s arrival in New London, the trio will deal with the resulting consequences.
