‘Chicago Med’ Is on the Front Lines in the Season 6 Premiere (PHOTOS)
Like other medical dramas, Chicago Med is going to be mirroring real life in some ways as some doctors treat coronavirus patients.
In fact, in the photos from the premiere, “When Did We Begin to Change,” you can see April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) doing just that, while protecting herself and helping her patients and their loved ones. As the logline reveals, Drs. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and James Lanik (Nate Santana) will be joining the nurse on the front lines as the entire staff must adjust to a new normal.
Elsewhere in the episode, Drs. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) “face a troubling reality,” while Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) hopes to clear the air with his daughter.
Scroll down for a look at the doctors in the Season 6 premiere. They’re not all going to be with COVID-19 patients, as executive producer Diane Frolov noted to TV Insider, “We focus more on how other types of cases are treated in this new environment. There is a huge strain on the hospital’s resources, and with vital equipment in short supply, our doctors are often caught in the dilemma of whom to try to save.”
