Don’t go into Chilling Adventures of Sabrina expecting the Sabrina Spellman and her pals you once knew from the ’90s sitcom. Let’s just say, the characters (and storyline) of the Netflix adaptation have a much darker edge.
The series, which debuts Friday, October 26, is highly-anticipated among fans of Riverdale, as the CW series’ showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is helming the spooky drama. Gone are the lighthearted laughs over the household antics of a family of witches and their talking cat. In its place are chilling rituals and high stakes — Sabrina will have to decide whether to submerse herself in the witch world of her family or stay in the human world with her friends on her 16th birthday.
