Netflix’s next comedy is coming with a dark twist. Dead to Me features Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as two women who bond over their grief.
The series from executive producers Applegate, Adam McKay and Will Ferrell follows the story of Jen (Applegate), a recently widowed mother determined to solve the mystery behind her husband’s hit-and-run. While attending a grief support retreat, she meets Judy (Cardellini) who recently lost her fiancé and is more optimistic.
Appearing alongside Applegate and Cardellini will be James Marsden (as Steve), Ed Asner (as Abe), and Brandon Scott (as Nick), among others.
Though they’re complete opposites, Jen and Judy become friends quickly, bonding over wine, Entenmann’s cookies, and The Facts of Life. But Judy is hiding a secret — will it be uncovered? Find out when the show premieres May 3 on the streaming service.
