‘Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage’ Premiere: Annie Potts’ Meemaw Drops By in First Look (PHOTOS)

The long-awaited first look at Young Sheldon‘s multi-camera spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage has arrived!

Following Sheldon‘s series finale earlier this spring, CBS is gearing up to follow his older brother Georgie’s (Montana Jordan) story with wife Mandy (Emily Osment) as he works and lives alongside her parents, Audrey (Rachel Bay Jones) and Jim (Will Sasso). As one might imagine, times will be difficult, but filled with plenty of laughter for audience members.

Or at least that seems to be the case based on the first images for the series premiere episode, “The 6:10 to Lubbock.” The installment will see Georgie and Mandy get fed up staying with her parents and they’ll reconsider their living situation after a fight between Mandy and her mom Audrey.

But besides the familial discord, there are other exciting elements to look forward to including the guest appearance of Annie Potts who reprises her role as Meemaw, grandmother to Georgie and the other Cooper kids. While Potts may appear in the first photos, below, Zoe Perry, who plays Georgie’s mom Mary is absent, but she is set to appear in the debut episode.

As the show’s co-creator and Big Bang Theory franchise helmer Chuck Lorre told TV Insider, “It’s a bumpy ride, but the bumps are comedy if handled correctly.” He went on to add, “There’s dramatic moments as well because they will face inevitable obstacles to staying together.”
