‘Hightown’ Final Season First Look: Jackie’s a Mess But Determined to Solve Case (VIDEO)
“I don’t want to be like this anymore. I just don’t know how to stop,” Jackie (Monica Raymund) says in the third and final season of Hightown (premiering January 26).
TV Insider has an exclusive first look at the trailer and photos for the return of the Starz crime drama centered around the opioid crisis in picturesque Cape Cod, and to say Jackie’s not doing well is an understatement. The Fishery Service agent is off the wagon and off the force, but that’s not going to stop her from careening into the dark underbelly of picture-perfect Cape Cod to save a missing woman and a murdered sex worker.
Meanwhile, her former colleagues Ray Abruzzo (James Badge Dale) and Alan Santille (Dohn Norwood) are focused on taking down drug syndicates, but despite their best efforts, the drugs keep flowing. This attracts Shane Frawley (Garret Dillahunt), a gangster from Boston looking to cut himself in on the Cape’s drug trade — and making an enemy of Osito (Atkins Estimond) while he’s at it.
“There’s no bigger lie we tell ourselves than it’s just business. It’s always personal,” Shane says in the trailer. Watch the full video above for much more.
“The time has come for Jackie Quiñones to pick a side and stand up for what she believes in. All lies come to an end and the case is coming to a close,” Starz also teases. “Alliances are made and old loyalties are questioned in this beautiful but corrupt place where nothing is as it seems.”
Hightown‘s third and final season premieres on Friday, January 26 at midnight ET on the Starz app as well as all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms. Linearly, it will air on Starz on January 26 at 9/8c. The first season is available for free for a limited time on the Starz app and select streaming and cable platforms until February 5.
In addition to Raymund, Dale, Estimond, and Norwood, Riley Voelkel and Amaury Nolasco also return in their previous roles. Imani Lewis, Mark Boone Junior, and Mike Pniewski return in recurring roles. Dillahunt guest stars, as do Ana Nogueira, Taja V. Simpson, Michael Drayer, Jeanine Serralles, and Kate Miller.
Hightown, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Lionsgate Television for STARZ, is created by Rebecca Cutter, who executive produces with Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, and KristieAnne Reed from Jerry Bruckheimer Television; Ellen H. Schwartz; Gary Lennon; and Tim Walsh.
