Despite being from different eras, time traveling intervened to put them together, which led to marriage, deep love and true commitment. With their white-hot chemistry, their scenes also practically melt the small screen. But, the bonnie lass and ladd aren’t the only ones who shippers love. Check out all the couples who we believe are heating up your TV. And remember to take our poll (see below) to vote for the hottest TV couple—the winning duo will appear in a future issue.

Bob D'Amico/ABC

Castle and Beckett (Castle)

With their killer chemistry and shared love of crime-solving, mystery writer Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and NYPD Capt. Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) have cracked the case of how to keep the spark alive after TV marriage. So it’s no surprise fans were ready to storm the Castle writers’ room when the couple temporarily split this season. Thankfully, the pair has officially reunited, and in the April 11 episode, they’re investigating the murder of a tomb raider. “Castle believes something wacky is going on,” teases executive producer Alexi Hawley, “and Beckett keeps trying to steer him back to reality. It’s them at their bantering best.” —Shawna Malcom

The Walking Dead

Rick and Michonne (The Walking Dead)

These hardened postapocalyptic warriors somehow found love amid a zombie outbreak. The former sheriff (Andrew Lincoln)—who lost both his wife and former girlfriend to the flesh-eaters—and the katana-wielding badass (Danai Gurira) finally consummated a years-long tease earlier this season. The duo were even seen in the nude, much to the delight of #Richonne shippers everywhere. “My mom has been campaigning for about three years for this to happen!” Lincoln says. “I was absolutely stunned by it, but I couldn’t wish for a better leading lady.” —Rob Moynihan

Dre and Bow (black-ish)

He’s a tightly wound ad exec, she’s a mellow anesthesiologist, and together, Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) Johnson are yin and yang raising their four kids in upscale L.A. Sure, they have quirks, but mostly they get along, which is what makes them such a rare breed. “So many half-hour comedies seem to be based on married people hating each other and rolling their eyes,” Ross says. “It’s clear that Bow and Dre love, respect and genuinely like each other.” And with that heart comes heat. “They’re frisky,” Ross confirms. “They have four children, so something’s going on!” —Ingela Ratledge

Scandal - Kerry Washington and Scott Foley

Jake and Olivia (Scandal)

Forget standing in the sun. These days, Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Jake (Scott Foley) are all about sparks in the dark, thanks to a series of secret (and überhot) hookups. With the NSA chief now engaged to another woman—and D.C.’s most powerful fixer not above spying on her on-off lover—expect the deliciously dysfunctional pair’s affair to grow even more Scandal-ous. “Olivia Pope has this crazy pull over Jake,” Foley says, “and juicy twists are what Shondaland does so well. I think you’ll be very excited to see where this leads.” —Shawna Malcom

But then she got a long-awaited smooch from Charles (Peter Hermann), her devastatingly adorable—and age-appropriate—boss. “Josh and Liza have a love connection that is incomparable, and he wants her back,” Tortorella says. “But now the audience is really torn. Jason and Alicia (The Good Wife)

Fireworks exploded at the first meeting of the dimpled, honey-voiced legal investigator Jason Crouse (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his new boss, the beautiful and brilliant Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies). After public betrayal by her philandering politico husband and the murder of her longtime love, Alicia sorely needed some romance, and Jason has happily supplied it—on kitchen islands and in very public bars. Could the randy couple get a happy ending when the series signs off in May? “Their on-screen chemistry was blinding from Day 1,” executive producer Michelle King says. “Absolutely anything is possible.” —Ileane Rudolph

Piper and Alex (Orange Is the New Black)

Roses and chocolate? Pffft. Piper (Taylor Schilling) and Alex (Laura Prepon)—on-again, off-again girlfriends and Litchfield Penitentiary inmates—prefer to demonstrate their affection by landing each other in prison. (Piper is serving her sentence for an old drug crime she helped Alex to commit; Pipes returned the favor during Season 2 by getting a then-free Alex in trouble with her parole officer.) Now that Piper’s previous love interest, the double-crossing Stella Carlin (Ruby Rose), is off to maximum security, it would be criminal if she and Alex didn’t give their warped relationship yet another whirl in Season 4. After all, forgiving and forgetting is for suckers—not soulmates. —Ingela Ratledge

Arrow
Dean Buscher/The CW

Oliver and Felicity (Arrow)

The balance of vigilante Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) stoic gravitas and tech whiz Felicity’s (Emily Bett Rickards) goofy-brain charm makes Olicity an opposites-attract bonanza that “brings out the best in them both,” says executive producer Marc Guggenheim. (His perfect abs don’t hurt either.) Although the pair are currently at odds over the reveal of Oliver’s secret son, Guggenheim hints to happier days ahead: “We love these characters and their relationship, and we certainly aren’t done telling their story.” —Damian Holbrook
Marvel's Jessica Jones - Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones

Luke and Jessica (Marvel’s Jessica Jones)

They’re both virtually indestructible, but somehow Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) discovered each other’s soft spots. “They don’t have to hold back their power or passion; they can just let loose in a way they’ve never been able to with anyone else,” explains Melissa Rosenberg, creator of the Marvel series. Unfortunately, Jessica’s past mistakes became an obstacle Luke couldn’t clear. Might they rekindle their romance in Season 2? Colter says, “It’s a long arc, a long storyline, and I think it leaves us in a great place to see how they can interact again.” —Carita Rizzo

Jane the Virgin, Gina Rodriguez, Brett Dier
Danny Feld/The CW

Jane and Michael (Jane the Virgin)

Okay, where to begin? When it comes to Jane (Gina Rodriguez), no one understands her more than Michael (Brett Dier). After all, he speaks "Sad Jane," knows what gift will cheer her up (like the latest Angelique Harper novel), and didn't balk the first time she confessed to saving herself for marriage. Despite breaking up her initial engagement to Michael and kickstarting a romance with her baby daddy Rafael (Justin Baldoni), Jane eventually realized who her true soulmate was and got re-engaged. Which is pretty epic for a couple found always kissing under falling "snow."
Walking Dead - Stevn Yeun and Lauren Cohan as Glenn and Maggie
Gene Page/AMC

Glenn and Maggie (The Walking Dead)

The country farm girl and city pizza boy couldn’t be any more different, but Maggie (Lauren Cohan) soon fell for the brave, sweet and reckless Glenn (Steve Yeun). Their relationship started with an intimate encounter in a drugstore, but it was soon tested after being kidnapped—and tortured—by The Governor (David Morrissey). Despite the trauma, their love and loyalty to each other soon proved nothing could stand in their mutual devotion. In addition to #Richonne, the married parents remain one of the most consistent couples in a world of walkers.

Eike Schroter/ABC

Emma and Killian (Once Upon a Time)

Hook began to soften his ruthless ways and redeem himself as a pirate while Emma let down her walls to allow for love. Even after Emma became the Dark One, Hook never gave up on her…so that after his death, Emma didn’t give up on him, deciding to visit the Underworld to bring him back to life.

FOX/Getty Images

Mindy and Danny (The Mindy Project)

Sure, these two OB-GYNs started out as fierce frenemies, but Mindy (Mindy Kaling) and Danny’s (Chris Messina) love-hate relationship soon sparked a real office romance. (And who can forget that breathtaking kiss in the airplane?) They’re the very definition of opposites attract (girly and loud Mindy paired with the gruff and surly Danny) and they can drive each other crazy, but they’re committed to raising their baby Leo. Also, their constant push-and-pull means they bring out the best in each other.

Their relationship might have started with a hot-and-heavy hook-up in a car, but eventually all the intense training, communal bathroom sharing and smoldering glances meant there was something real brewing between the two. After Alex was accused of bombing Grand Central, only Ryan (who hadn’t seen her in years) truly believed in her and risked his career (and his life) to protect her.

As the couple worked together to piece together Jane's past, they discovered a surprising childhood connection: her real name was Taylor Shaw, the kidnapped and (presumed dead) next door neighbor. Mitch Haaseth/ABC

Alex and Jo (Grey’s Anatomy)

The mentor-intern relationship may seem like a cliché, but Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington) are undeniably meant to be. They both share similar hard-knock childhoods and career ambitions and are deeply committed to Seattle Grace patients. Jo’s relationship with the jealous Jason (Charles Michael Davis) ended in physical violence, but Alex’s protective nature kicked in. Hospital rules almost stopped him from being a couple, but Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) support meant they could continue being together.
