‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Sets Season 5 Premiere Date: See Stabler in Danger (VIDEO)

Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 finally has a premiere date.

Peacock has announced that the Christopher Meloni-led drama will premiere with the first two episodes on April 17 (so still airing on Thursdays), with new episodes streaming weekly. The season will consist of 10 episodes. The streaming service has also released a teaser, photos, and key art.

“The pain, the things I’ve seen, all in the pursuit of one thing: justice. This fight has only just begun,” Stabler (Meloni) says in the teaser. It also offers a glimpse of the new season, including what looks like Stabler about to be T-boned at one point. Watch it above.

This will be the first season on Peacock after airing the first four on NBC. Meloni stars as Detective Elliot Stabler, whom viewers met on Law & Order: SVU and who returned to New York after a decade abroad to rebuild his life following the devastating personal loss of his wife. He’s now the lead detective in Sergeant Ayanna Bell’s (Danielle Moné Truitt) Organized Crime Control Bureau, where he works to dismantle New York’s most vicious and violent illegal enterprises while fending off dangers that often follow him home. Joining them are undercover expert Bobby Reyes (Rick Gonzalez) and tech genius Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger). While on assignment, Stabler leans on his brother Randall (Dean Norris) to keep the Stabler family safe and thriving.

Season 5 delves into the dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism, and a crime family intent on repaying Stabler for the injury he did to them in Rome. As his worlds collide, Stabler will put everything on the line to protect the vulnerable and fight for justice.

Law & Order: Organized Crime was created by Dick Wolf, Ilene Chaiken, and Matt Olmstead. Serving as executive producers on Season 5 are Wolf, Olmstead (Episodes 507-510), John Shiban, Mike Slovis, Meloni, Peter Jankowski, and Tim Walsh (Episode 510).
