Lucifer in Hell

He ended Season 4 sitting on his throne in Hell, and while we don’t want to see him and Chloe separated for too long, we do want to see what he’s up to down there. Show us keeping the demons in line like he did when he ordered them back to hell in the finale. Let us see why it had to be him to reign over them.

And, when he does leave — because he has to return to Los Angeles sooner rather than later — show us how he plans to make sure the events of the Season 4 finale don’t happen again.

Lucifer and Chloe Together, Personally and Professionally

We have yet to truly see Lucifer in a relationship, especially a monogamous one (and theirs can’t be anything else). We saw him with Eve (Inbar Lavi) in Season 4, but that was different. Now that the devil and the detective have expressed their love, we want to see what comes next, and not just at the end of the season.

Furthermore, we want to see them working cases together again, too. Will that change now that she’s fully accepted his devil side and he knows she has? Will that change because of their romantic relationship?

Dan and Ella Told the Truth

Lucifer and Chloe briefly discussed the fact that their colleagues at work remain in the dark about his devilish side, but it wasn’t the time or the place to let them in on the secret.

However, we would like to see the series at least address the fact that Dan (Kevin Alejandro) and Ella (Aimee Garcia) don’t know and settle on a reason — other than the fact that they would need time to process — if they’re not told.

That being said, it is fun to watch Lucifer tell them the truth and them not realize it’s not a metaphor.

Linda and Amenadiel Raising Charlie

Now that Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) and Linda (Rachael Harris) have committed to raising their baby on Earth, we want to see what that means for them — as individuals, as an angel and a human, and as a couple — especially since Charlie is half-angel. They’re not just going to be dealing with the normal problems new parents do, as we already saw in the Season 4 finale.

A Girls’ Night Out

Now that Chloe knows and has fully accepted the truth, we’d love to see a girls’ night out for her, Linda, and Maize. (Better yet, have multiple girls’ nights out, one with Ella, if she’s still in the dark.)

With Lucifer in hell, at least right now and depending on how that plays out at the beginning of the final season, it would be great to see Chloe getting some support from those who know exactly what’s going on. Plus, we can never get enough of the women of Lucifer in scenes together.

Maze and Eve’s Future Addressed

Eve left in the Season 4 finale to figure out who she was after her relationships with Adam and Lucifer, but there was definitely potential for something between her and Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt).

While we’d like to see how that works — Maze deserves to be happy, and we’d get to see what Eve discovers about herself in her time away — it may depend on the episode count how it plays out on-screen.

Trixie

It’s a shame we didn’t get to see more of Trixie in Season 4. There’s just something so fun about her scenes with both Maze and Lucifer, and the series could address if anything will change now that Lucifer and Chloe are (presumably going to be) together.

Uncle Luci Babysitting Charlie Once

Who wouldn’t love to see how Lucifer handles babysitting? He may not be comfortable around babies and may have only held Charlie for a moment, but he can’t just avoid him until he’s older.

Lucifer will see you in hell.

Lucifans received good news Thursday when Netflix renewed the series for a fifth and final season, just a month after the fourth season was released. The streaming service saved Lucifer, starring Tom Ellis as the devil when Fox canceled it after three seasons.

Ellis reacted accordingly to the news in the video attached to Netflix’s announcement.

Both showrunners, Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, thanked the show’s fans for their support. “The fans brought us back to life,” Henderson wrote when he retweeted the news of the renewal. “Now, we get to finish our story on our terms. Can’t wait for you guys to see what’s in store!”

“Thank you to our beautiful Lucifamily for all of your love and support,” Modrovich tweeted. “And to @LuciferNetflix for being the best partners EVER!! It’s our final season so we’re planning to make it COUNT!!”

Now that we know we won’t be left with that Season 4 finale cliffhanger — Lucifer returned to hell because it needed a king, leaving behind Chloe (Lauren German), just as they’d confessed their love and shared a kiss — we’re already thinking ahead.
