They’re celebrating their reunion after the mother and daughter moved away to Los Angeles. It’s a NYC landmark worth visiting.

At the start of the episode, Josh (Dev Patel) and Emma (Caitlin McGee) leave a job interview together and head for the zoo (2300 Southern Blvd.) where they have a conversation about what makes animals a good match — it then leads to a first kiss. The location is revisited towards the end when they reunite after a period of being broken up. The beloved city spot is made even sweeter by their joyous reconciliation.

When Catherine Keener’s author character Julie goes out of town for a book signing, she encounters long-lost lover Michael (Andy Garcia). Their story is set in this small riverside suburb that draws you in with its quaint streets.

This episode which features the adoption journey of couple Tobin (Andrew Scott) and Andy (Brandon Kyle Goodman) with wanderer Karla (Olivia Cooke) takes place largely in the Queens neighborhood of Long Island City. One particular giveaway includes the letters LIC, seen behind Scott here, when Tobin is looking for Karla who ran off.

In the final moments of the last episode, characters from past episodes reappear, and in a sweet moment, Josh bumps into Julie again and tells her about his rekindled relationship.
