Featuring Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson as two former Texas Rangers on the trail of Bonnie and Clyde, this crime film was streamed in more than 40 million households.
For traditional television networks, companies like Nielsen provide viewership ratings, which inform the networks’ decisions to keep a given show around and advertisers’ decisions to buy ads during that shows.
But Netflix, of course, is not traditional TV. The streaming giant is under no obligation to divulge its viewership statistics, but sometimes it does anyway, if only to boast about its success.
