Get a First Look at Netflix’s Epic ‘Lost in Space’ Reboot Series (VIDEO)
Of all of the TV reboots and revivals in the works, Netflix’s take on Lost in Space has been one of the most anticipated—and now we finally have a first look!
On Wednesday, the streaming network announced the April 13 premiere date for the epic, modern reimagining of the ’60s sci-fi series, and along with it, they introduced the new Robinson family.
Judging by the new images and intro video, we can see that the show is set 30 years in the future after space colonization has become a reality. The new Robinson crew—headed up by parents John (Toby Stephens) and Maureen (Molly Parker)—are headlining the series as is among the first settlers headed to test out this new world. It starts promising… until they’re quickly pulled off course.
According to the synopsis, they’re then forced to “forge new alliances and work together to survive in a dangerous alien environment, light-years from their original destination.” And speaking of alliances, the others joining them on this challenging adventure? The charming Dr. Smith (Parker Posey), a “master manipulator with an inscrutable end game,” and handsome Don West (Ignacio Serricchio), a highly-skilled, humble contractor who wasn’t prepared for this shocking turn of events.
