PaleyFest 2017: ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Cast & Producers Tight-Lipped About Series Finale
The final 10 episodes of the Freeform hit-thriller Pretty Little Liars won’t be airing until next month, but fans of the long-running series came out in full force to see the cast one last time for its final PaleyFest appearance. Currently in its seventh season, Pretty Little Liars has always been shrouded in mystery thanks to massive twists and turns that series creator Marlene King and executive producer Joseph Dougherty promised would continue in the last chapter.
“We talked about it a lot in the writers’ room,” said King during the panel. “We really wanted these last ten episodes to be a love letter to the fans. We have been so blessed to have such passionate fans who stuck with this show about a dead girl who wasn’t even dead for seven seasons.” Since the show has a myriad of questions still lingering out there from stories told over the years, will we get all the answers by the end? “It’s every single question we could remember,” Dougherty joked. He added one of their objectives with the finale was “to set the relationships in a place where they will go on.”
Absent from the panel were actors Lucy Hale (Aria) and Troian Bellisario (Spencer), who each expressed their gratitude to fans in recorded announcements that were played at the top of the Q&A on Saturday at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. In attendance, were cast members Ian Harding (Ezra), Janel Parrish (Mona), Sasha Pieterse (Allison), Shay Mitchell (Emily), Ashley Benson (Hanna), Andrea Parker (Jessica) and Tyler Blackburn (Caleb).
