Enter Luc Capitani (Luc Schiltz, above, with Sophie Mousel), an out-of-town detective assigned to help track down the murderer. He has his work cut out for him: Several of the locals have much to hide and aren’t too keen on a stranger poking around their business. Season 1 available

Single mom Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and her teen daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel), banter in rapid-fire style about everything from school to sex. More than just a platform for the actors’ repartee, the 2000–07 WB/CW dramedy (revived by Netflix in 2016) presents complicated family dynamics in humorous and heartbreaking ways. “We’re like the Gilmore Girls, but with bigger boobs,” carefree Georgia (Brianne Howey, The Passage) quips to her angsty 15-year-old, Ginny (Antonia Gentry), on this comedic drama that takes cues from the Girls. (Georgia, like Lorelai, was a teen mom.) The subject matter here, however, gets darker as they set out for a fresh start. Premieres Wednesday, February 24
IF YOU LIKE: You vs. Wild
Host Bear Grylls treks through perilous terrain (a Central American jungle, for one) to complete various missions on this family-friendly adventure series. The twist? It’s interactive, so you make major decisions with your remote. Should he get down a steep, snow-covered cliff by skiing or paragliding? Viewer’s choice! Season 1 available
WATCH: Animals on the Loose: A You vs. Wild Movie
You’ll still need the remote for this follow-up, which finds Grylls in South Africa, where an electric fence surrounding an animal sanctuary has lost power, letting the inhabitants escape. This special ups the ante on the thrills and chills as Grylls gets frighteningly close to predators like lions. Premieres Tuesday, February 16
