‘Supernatural’: Pumpkin Carving, Dean in a Nightgown & More in Return (PHOTOS)

Thanks to the trailers that have been released — and simply because the series is ending — we know the final episodes of Supernatural are going to be emotional. But there will also be some joy, especially in the first episode back on October 8.

The CW has released photos from “Last Holiday,” and Dean (Jensen Ackles) is taking a page out of his animated “Scoobynatural” self’s book with his purple nightgown (or “sleeping robe,” as he put it). Plus, there will be plenty of food, some pumpkin carving, and, of course, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean heading off on a hunt in Baby (their beloved Impala).

According to the logline for the episode, “Sam and Dean discover a wood nymph (guest star Meagan Fay) living in the bunker who is determined to protect her family, at any cost.”

The last new Supernatural episode aired on March 23. When production shut down in March due to the pandemic, they had two episodes left to film, and they did so beginning in August. They wrapped on September 10.The series finale will air after a retrospective on November 19.
