Netflix Sets ‘The Baby-Sitters Club’ Premiere Date in First Look (VIDEO)

“Good afternoon, Baby-Sitters Club.”
And with that, Netflix is ready to introduce the new generation of the beloved books. The streaming service released the first look at middle-schoolers Kristy Thomas (Sophie Grace), Mary Anne Spier (Malia Baker), Claudia Kishi (Momona Tamada), Stacey McGill (Shay Rudolph), and Dawn Schafer (Xochitl Gomez) and their babysitting business in Stoneybrook, Connecticut. The 10 half-hour episodes of The Baby-Sitters Club will drop on July 3. Watch the teaser below.
The new TV dramedy is based on author Ann M. Martin’s series. (Martin is a producer on the show.) The rest of the cast includes Alicia Silverstone as Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, Mark Feuerstein as Watson Brewer, and Marc Evan Jackson as Richard Spier.
Rachel Shukert serves as showrunner, with Lucia Aniello, Lucy Kitada, Michael De Luca, Frank Smith, and Naia Cucukov joining her as executive producers. Aniello is also the director.
