‘The Crown’: Gillian Anderson Makes Her Debut as Margaret Thatcher (PHOTOS)
We finally have a first look at The X-Files star Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher, Britain’s first female Prime Minister, in The Crown Season 4.
On Tuesday, Netflix released a series of photos from the upcoming season, offering a look at both new and familiar faces. In addition to Anderson, these images (below) also include Emma Corrin as Princess Diana, Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, and Emerald Fennell as Camilla Parker Bowles.
Season 4, written by Peter Morgan, also stars Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Marion Bailey as the Queen Mother, Georgie Glen as Lady Fermoy, Tom Byrne as Prince Andrew, Angue Imrie as Prince Edward, and Charles Dance as Lord Mountbatten.
The cast will change for the upcoming fifth and sixth seasons, with Imelda Staunton coming on as Queen Elizabeth, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana. Prince Charles’ casting has yet to be announced.
