‘The Flash’ Season 7 Premiere: What Will Barry Risk to Bring Iris Home? (PHOTOS)
Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) may be in the Mirrorverse, but that’s not going to stop her and her husband Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) from having date night, right?
Wrong. Sure, we see just that in The Flash Season 7 trailer and photos (below), but as she soon realizes, something “isn’t right.” She hasn’t yet been rescued and reunited with her friends and family in the real world after getting pulled through a portal last season. And while she remains in the Mirrorverse, the villain who had been with her (but is now free), Mirror Master (Efrat Dor), poses quite a bit of danger for Team Flash and Central City.
“It’s not just mirrors she’s manipulating,” Cisco (Carlos Valdes) tells the rest of the team. “It’s any reflective surface.”
In the March 2 premiere, “All’s Wells That Ends Wells,” an experiment to save Barry’s speed backfires — he’s losing it as a result of the Speed Force dying last season, due to what happened in the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover. But Nash Wells (Tom Cavanagh) has “a dangerous plan” to save the Flash, the CW teases.
Speaking of Nash, he may be the only Harrison Wells presumably left after the destruction of the multiverse (there’s a new one), but he has had the other Earths’ versions we met in previous seasons in his head. What that means for Nash is part of the season premiere, executive producer Eric Wallace told TV Insider in May 2020. “We have a big Nash Wells arc coming up that I think will expand upon the Wells mythology and give it not only some closure from the past but also take it in a very new and exciting direction.”
Also revealed in the premiere logline, in the Mirrorverse, Iris “makes a startling realization,” and as the photos show, Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) faces off with the metahuman Rosa Dillon/Top (Ashley Rickards).
