The Masked Singer is the latest TV singing competition to become a breakout success.
What’s it about? Each week, heavily costumed celebrities sing covers of songs in front of panel of judges and a studio audience. At the end of the episode, one celebrity’s identity is revealed after he or she receives the lowest rating from judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger.
The costumes and masks are outrageously detailed and cover every inch of the famous person. When the celebrity talks, even his or her voice is altered to keep the playing field even. To help everyone narrow down their guesses, the masked singer unveils a new clue about who they are.
