‘This Is Us’: Randall Meets His New Therapist in First Look (PHOTOS)
This Is Us continues its fifth season with “Changes,” the third episode following October’s back-to-back premiere.
Set to air Tuesday, November 10, the installment will see Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) prepare for puberty as the Big 3 become young adults. Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) will continue their adoption journey and Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Madison (Caitlin Thompson) will adjust to their new engagement.
Meanwhile, in Philly, Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) will oversee the girls’ virtual home schooling amid the ongoing pandemic and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) selects a new therapist. In a sneak peek clip released ahead of next week’s episode, NBC teased the upcoming role which has yet to be revealed, but it appears Randall has chosen a young Black man for the position.
“I think I found my guy to replace Dr. Leigh,” Randall tells Beth in their kitchen over breakfast. “We talked about transracial identity,” Randall shares, adding, “I’m having a longer Zoom session with him today. But he checks all of the boxes, Beth. He’s cool, smart, funny, Black, a young father — we’ve got a lot in common.”
You can check out the clip above to see the full scene, but you’ll have to wait until the episode airs to see just how accurate Randall’s words are. For an additional peek at what’s to come, scroll through the photos below.
