ABC’s 8-part miniseries, When We Rise, will explore the history of a group of diverse LGBT activists from the 1970s to today. The series, which premieres February 27, was written and executive produced by Academy Award-winner Dustin Lance Black, who shared directing duties with Gus Van Sant, Dee Rees and Thomas Schlamme.
