Adrienne-Joi Johnson

Adrienne-Joi Akua Okyerebea Johnson, also known as AJ Johnson, is an American actress, life/wellness coach, fitness trainer, dancer, choreographer, and model. Johnson worked in television around the start of her acting career with a role on "In the Heat of the Night" (CBS, 1987-1994). Her film career continued throughout the nineties in productions like the action flick "Double Trouble" (1992) with Peter Paul, the Whoopi Goldberg box office smash musical comedy "Sister Act" (1992) and the period drama "The Inkwell" (1994) with Larenz Tate.

Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Murder Without Motive: The Edmund Perry Story" (NBC, 1991-92). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the action film "Hoodrat" (2001) with Isaiah Washington and the Tyrese Gibson drama "Baby Boy" (2001).
