Alex Neustaedter was just 5 years old when his mother's friends noticed that he was unusually photogenic and suggested he audition for a talent agency. It was the first indication of Neustaedter's ultimate path towards becoming a performer, but it certainly would not be the last. Born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas in 1998, Neustaedter was an extremely physical child with a great capacity for taking direction. He would take classes at the Kansas City Ballet and become an avid athlete at school, all while maintaining an interest in professional acting. At age 11, his family attended a local casting seminar and the young actor signed with a manager.

He would travel to L.A. on occasion, appearing in a number of commercials, and even in the independent horror movies "Albino Farm" (2009) and "Last Breath" (2010). After appearing on an episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (ABC, 2013- ), Neustaedter reached a new level of professional achievement when he was cast in the starring role in the film "Ithaca" (2015), directed by Meg Ryan. The experience helped prepare Neustaedter for the even more thrilling challenges he would face when he was cast on the series "Colony" (USA, 2016- ) the following year.
