American actor Alex Rich gained traction in Hollywood with his recurring role of Florian in the Netflix '80s wrestling dramedy "GLOW" (Netflix, 2017-). Born in Cleveland, OH and raised in Naples, FL, he first appeared destined for a career in music, earning a composing credit for the web series "Treelore Theatre" (2012). Instead, he turned primarily to acting, with a guest spot on the web series "Dating Rules from My Future Self" (Alloy Entertainment, 2012), opposite Shiri Appleby. That led to a guest role on season two of "True Detective" (HBO, 2014-). He would go on to act in the Netflix feature film "XOXO" (2016), starring Sarah Hyland, about six strangers whose lives intersect during one night of a music festival. He followed that with appearances on the TV shows "The Crossroads of History" (The History Channel, 2016-) and the web series "Sweet Nothings" (2017). His big break came when he was cast in Neftlix's "GLOW," opposite Alison Brie and Marc Maron.
His character, Florian, served as the butler to Chris Lowell's Sebastian "Bash" Howard. He went on to earn a role in Elissa Down's feature, "The Honor List" (2018), a drama about four high school friends who revisit a graduation "bucket list" from their freshman year. His profile grew further when he was cast as the young Pablo Picasso in season two of the television series, "Genius" (National Geographic, 2017-), opposite Antonio Banderas, who played the older version of the famed Spanish artist.
