Amber Rose

An eye-catching beauty, Amber Rose became an instantly recognizable figure on the periphery of the R&B, hip-hop and rap worlds and whose fame seemed to stem from the fact that she was, well, famous. Born Oct. 21, 1983 in Philadelphia, PA, Amber Rose was blessed with an exotic, striking appearance she used to optimal effect, with her shaved head and skintight clothing helping her gain media attention wherever she went.

A proud former stripper, model and occasional actress who made her screen debut in a 2007 episode of "A Haunting" (Discovery Channel, 2005-07), Rose was better known for her red carpet, gossip blog, and reality appearances. She was best known, however, for her high-profile romance with Kanye West, who allegedly cheated on then left her for Kim Kardashian. Rose went on to date Wiz Khalifa, with the two becoming engaged and announcing their pregnancy in 2012.

The face of Smirnoff who lensed a few commercials for the company's flavored vodkas, the surprisingly sweet and shy Rose also popped up as a guest judge on "RuPaul's Drag Race" (Logo, 2009- ) and a full-time judge on "Master of the Mix" (BET, 2010-12). A frequent cameo figure in other performers' music videos, Rose attempted to launch her own music career in 2012 by releasing the singles "Fame" and "Loaded." Her next big-screen appearance came in Nick Cannon's "School Dance" (2016), after which she started her own TV talk show, "The Amber Rose Show" (VH1 2016- ) and joined the contestants on the 23rd season of "Dancing with the Stars" (ABC 2005- ); she was the fifth contestant eliminated.
