Amybeth McNulty is a young British actress who broke out in 2016 when it was announced that she would be playing the lead role in the Netflix series "Anne" (Netflix, 2017- ). Born and raised in England, McNulty grew up with an overwhelming passion for performance. She would often entertain her family for hours in her living room, thus instilling in her an ease for performing at a very young age. McNulty eventually transferred her love of performing into actual stage acting. She began appearing in plays all across London while still a young girl. In addition to playing Martha in "The Sound of Music," she also landed a the role of Molly in a London production of "Annie."
With her stage acting career already on the rise, McNulty soon started earning the attention of film and television casting agents. She began auditioning for film and TV roles all throughout London, and before long was nabbing parts on TV. In 2014 she landed her very first television role on the British comedy-mystery series "Agatha Raisin" (Sky 1, 2014- ), in which she played a younger version of the title character. Her next role came the following years when joined the cast of the Irish drama series "Clean Break" (RTE One, 2015- ). McNulty appeared in four episodes of the series. 2016 was a breakout year for Amybeth McNulty.
In addition to landing her first film role in 2016 in "Morgan," she also nabbed the lead part of the Netflix series "Anne." That show debuted on the streaming network in 2017.
