He then made his television debut as a speechwriter, like his brother Jon, on the short-lived sitcom "1600 Penn" (NBC, 2012-13) in a 2013 episode. Favreau landed episodic appearances on dramas like "NCIS" (CBS, 2003- ) in 2015, and played The Beach Boys' Dennis Wilson on the period crime drama film "Aquarius" (NBC, 2015-16) in 2016. Favreau landed a two-part role on "The Mick" (Fox, 2017- ) and "Animal Kingdom" (TNT, 2016- ) in 2017. In 2018, he joined the main cast of "Champions" (NBC, 2018- ) as Matthew, the brother of Anders Holm's Vince. The sitcom, created by Mindy Kaling and Charlie Grandy, follows gym owner Vince, who lives the bachelor life with his brother until a former fling drops off Vince's 15-year-old son.
