Angie Stone

Angie Stone, born Angela Laverne Brown on December 18, 1961, was a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and actor known for her contributions to R&B and soul music.

She started her career as a member of the hip-hop trio The Sequence in the late 1970s and later transitioned to a successful solo career with albums like "Black Diamond" (1999) and "Mahogany Soul" (2001). She has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, and has won two Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards. In 2021, she received the Soul Music Icon Award at the Black Music Honors.

Stone has appeared in television shows like "Lincoln Heights" (ABC Family, 2006-2009) and films including "The Fighting Temptations" (2003). In recent years, she continued to release new music, including her 2023 album "Love Language", and remains an active figure in the music industry, performing at concerts and festivals worldwide.

Stone expanded her work to health advocacy, raising awareness about diabetes and healthy living.
