Actor Audrey Esparza's first role on television came in "Family Practice" (2011), a TV movie about a young doctor joining his parent's medical practice. In 2013 Esparza appeared in "Amateurs," an independent movie about the sexual lives of 30-something Brooklynites. In 2013 Esparza also appeared in episodes of "The Americans" (FX, 2013-), "Blue Bloods" (CBS, 2010-) and "The Following" (Fox, 2013-2015).
In 2014, Esparza appeared in the short film "Floating Sunflowers," starring Anna Chlumsky, and as Liliana in three episodes of the television series "Power" (Starz, 2014-). That same year Esparza was cast as Carlotta in "Black Box" (ABC, 2014), a series following the life of a famous neuroscientist who struggles with mental illness. In 2014 Esparza also appeared in an episode of the Tea Leoni vehicle "Madam Secretary" (ABC, 2014-). In 2015 it was announced that Esparza was joining the cast of NBC drama "Blindspot" (2015-) as Tasha Zapata, an FBI agent struggling to balance her work and her home life.
