Basil Wallace came to the United States as a child from his native Jamaica and decided to pursue acting at a young age. Wallace was a veteran of the stage when he went to Hollywood in the 1990s. His first role was co-starring in the Steven Seagal vehicle "Marked for Death." He then appeared in the Emmy-nominated TV action movie "Wedlock" in '91 and had a recurring role on the short-lived 1998 show "Born Free."

In addition to his numerous guest appearances on TV, Wallace had a supporting role in the mystery "Joy Ride" in 2001 and appeared in the 2006 thriller "Blood Diamond" with Leonardo DiCaprio.
