Betty A. Bridges was an actress and director. She was featured in the miniseries "Backstairs at the White House" (1978-79). Bridges started in the industry by acting in films like the drama "The Concrete Jungle" (1982) with Jill St John. She also starred in the TV movies "Condominium" (1980-81), "Rooster" (ABC, 1981-82) and "Police Story: The Freeway Killings" (NBC, 1986-87).

She continued to work steadily in television throughout the nineties, appearing on "Out All Night" (1992-93), "Sister, Sister" (WB, 1993-99) and "Ally McBeal" (Fox, 1997-2002). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "The Colony" (USA, 1995-96).
