Country music singer-songwriter Charlie Robison was born in Texas in 1964. He came from a family of musicians and ranchers. He discovered his own love of music as a teen, after receiving a drum set from his grandmother. He played in a band with his brother and continued to play through college and went on as a solo artist in 1995. He released his "Bandera" album that same year.
The release of the song "My Hometown" became a hit and is in the film "Shut Up & Sing" (2006). His most recent album "High Life" was released in 2013. Charlie Robison died on September 10, 2023 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 59.
