Christina Cox

Christina Cox has parlayed her martial arts and boxing training into a variety of action roles, most notably in Canadian and Lifetime series "Blood Ties," where she played a visually challenged ex-cop turned private investigator who teams with a 480-year-old vampire to solve cases. The Toronto-born Cox got her first big break in another vampire-centric crime series, "Forever Knight," playing Jeanne d'Arc in several flashback sequences. She won wider acclaim in 1999 in lesbian comedy/drama "Better Than Chocolate," and was a regular on "F/X: The Series," "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven," the aforementioned "Blood Ties," and space-station soap "Defying Gravity."

She may be best known to United States audiences as the female lead opposite Vin Diesel's title character in "The Chronicles of Riddick" (2004), but she has also guested on successful United States television series "24," "House M.D.," "Stargate: Atlantis," "Dexter," "The Mentalist," "Bones" (as a "horseplay" fetishist who goes by "Annie Oakley"), "CSI: Miami," and "The Chris Isaak Show." She was in the original cast of UPN's comedy series "Girlfriends," but her character was recast after the filming of the initial, unaired pilot.
