Clem Burke

Clem Burke was an American drummer best known as a founding member of the iconic new wave band Blondie. Born on November 24, 1954, in Bayonne, New Jersey, he joined Blondie in the mid-1970s and became known for his energetic, stylish drumming that helped define the band's sound during its peak years with hits like "Heart of Glass," "Call Me," "Rapture," and "One Way or Another."

Beyond Blondie, Burke played with a wide range of artists and bands, including The Ramones (briefly under the name "Elvis Ramone"), Iggy Pop, Eurythmics, The Romantics, and Bob Dylan. He’s often praised for his versatility and stamina as a drummer, and he was even the subject of a scientific study on the physical demands of professional drumming.
