Cody Horn

A sharp, witty actress, Cody Horn grew up in the entertainment industry, working as a teenaged staff assistant on Jennifer Aniston's comedy "Rumor Has It " (2005). After small roles in the big screen drama "Twelve" (2010) and romantic comedy "Flipped" (2010), she made an impression on critics and audiences alike with memorable recurring roles on "Rescue Me" (FX, 2004-2011) as the girlfriend of Sean (Steven Pasquale), and "The Office" (NBC, 2005-13) as a new hire brought on board by Deangelo Vickers (Will Ferrell). Ascending even higher professionally, Horn landed the female lead role in Steven Soderbergh's comedy "Magic Mike" (2012), playing the sister of a new male stripper (Alex Pettyfer) and the love interest of exotic dancing pro Mike (Channing Tatum). Demonstrating an intelligence and flintiness that played well off her youthful beauty, Cody Horn seemed poised to rise even higher up the Hollywood ladder.

Born in November 1987, Cody Horn was the daughter of Warner Bros. Entertainment president and COO Alan F. Horn. Growing up in the entertainment industry, Horn learned her way around a set as a staff assistant on the production of the Jennifer Aniston romantic comedy "Rumor Has It " (2005). Five years later, she made an impressive onscreen debut with three roles. After an appearance in the short "Dead Hands" (2010) as the girlfriend of a returning, traumatized soldier, Horn appeared in Joel Schumacher's glossy teenage drug drama "Twelve" (2010) and Rob Reiner's nostalgic first love romantic comedy "Flipped" (2010).

As her professional momentum increased, Horn booked a guest spot on "White Collar" (USA Network, 2009-14) and recurred on "Rescue Me" (FX, 2004-2011) as Emily, the seemingly perfect girlfriend of firefighter Sean (Steven Pasquale). She made bigger waves, however, when she landed a recurring role on "The Office" (NBC, 2005-13) as Jordan Garfield, a new executive assistant hired by the deranged temporary boss Deangelo Vickers (Will Ferrell). Young, beautiful and wryly intelligent, Jordan seemed to be a potential monkey wrench in the marriage of Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim (John Krasinski). Although she fit in well with the ensemble cast and brought her own unique spark to the show, nothing ever came of Horn's storylines or character, and she left the show after three appearances.

The actress rebounded by booking juicy supporting roles in the teen-girl assassins (Alexis Bledel and Saoirse Ronan) black comedy "Violet & Daisy" (2011) and in the psychological thriller "Occupant" (2011), but made her bid for mainstream movie stardom as the female lead in Steven Soderbergh's surprisingly funny and romantic "Magic Mike" (2012). Playing the sister of novice stripper "The Kid" (Alex Pettyfer), Horn proved a feisty, charming love interest to Channing Tatum. Demonstrating impressive chemistry, the duo brought real heart to the center of the film and helped ground it with higher emotional stakes than many critics felt were possible in light of the subject matter.
