Damon Evans

Damon Evans is an American actor best known as the second of two actors who portrayed Lionel Jefferson on the CBS sitcom The Jeffersons.

Evans began his career with roles in "Evening at Pops" (1969-2002) and "Roots: The Next Generations" (1978-79). He went on to act in "Turk 182" (1985) with Timothy Hutton, "Celebrating Gershwin" (PBS, 1987-88) and "The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess" (PBS, 1993-94).

He also appeared in "Third Watch" (NBC, 1999-2005). More recently, Evans appeared in "Evening at Pops: Keith Lockhart's 10th Anniversary Special" (PBS, 2003-04).
