Daniel Ezra is an English actor born in Birmingham, England. Ezra attended the prestigious East 15 Acting School at the University of Essex from 2011 to 2014, and graduated with a bachelor's in acting. He instantly made his professional acting debut in the post-apocalyptic film "Precipice Hours" (2014). He also landed a role in the TV movie "Murdered by My Boyfriend" (BBC Three, 2014); its star, Georgina Campbell, won a BAFTA Award for Best Leading Actress. He also appeared in a second season episode of the short-lived series "The Village" (BBC One, 2013-14), a show that creator Peter Moffat envisioned as a chronicle of the rural life of an English family from 1914 through World War II and beyond.
Ezra worked again with Moffat as a star of the miniseries "Undercover" (BBC One, 2016), and landed a recurring role on the second and final season of the anthology show "The Missing" (BBC One, 2014-16), the latter being somewhat of a breakout role in England. He joined the main cast of the period miniseries "Prime Suspect 1973" (ITV, 2017), a prequel/spin-off of the long-running, Helen Mirren-led show "Prime Suspect" (ITV, 1991-2006). Ezra also took to the stage as Sebastian in a filmed, reworked version of William Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" in 2017. He then landed his breakout American role with the starring role of Spencer James on "All American" (The CW, 2018), a football drama based on the life of professional player Spencer Paysinger.
