Dominic Sherwood is an English actor born on February 6, 1990 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Sherwood attended Oakwood Grammar School, and studied drama and acted in plays before working abroad in Kenya for six months. Upon his return and move to London, Sherwood landed his first acting gig with a recurring role on the third and final season of teen drama "The Cut" (BBC Two, 2009-2010).
He made his film debut as Young Mick Jagger in "The Sopranos" creator David Chase's directorial debut "Not Fade Away" (2012). Sherwood starred in "Vampire Academy" (2014). In 2015, Sherwood made his breakout appearance in Taylor Swift's "Style" music video. He then landed a starring role on "Shadowhunters" (Freeform, 2016-present) as main character Jace Herondale; the show was an adaptation of the hit fantasy novel series The Mortal Instruments. That same year, Sherwood made a guest appearance on "Modern Family" (ABC, 2009- ) alongside then-girlfriend Sarah Hyland.
