Canadian actress Jacqueline Byers is a youthful and appealing presence in several high-profile domestic and U.S. television series, including "Ascension" (CBC/Syfy, 2014), "Roadies" (Showtime, 2016) and "Salvation" (CBS, 2017- ). Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Byers began acting in local theater productions at the age of 12, and made her first screen appearance with a bit role in the Canadian-lensed holiday TV-movie "Blizzard" (My Network TV, 2003). She honed her craft through theatre arts studies at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, and returned to the stage for more mature roles in Chess and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Her television work soon graduated from guest roles on series like "The Strain" (FX, 2014- ) to a co-starring turn in the science fiction miniseries "Ascension." In 2016, she enjoyed an initial burst of Stateside attention when she was cast as Natalie, a devoted follower of a popular rock band in "Roadies," a comedy-drama series created by Cameron Crowe. The series was cut short after a season, but Byers rebounded with a starring role in "Salvation," a summer action-drama about the members of a think tank assembled to figure out how to stop an asteroid bound for impact with the Earth.
