As the more impulsive and cocksure half of Team Passante/Schulz on "Storage Wars" (A&E, 2010- ), professional auction buyer Jarrod Schulz became, alongside significant other Brandi Passante, an overnight celebrity, thanks to the popular reality series, which depicted a group of professional buyers who bid on abandoned storage lockers up for auction in and around Southern California.
Debuting in December 2010, "Storage Wars" was an immediate hit and quickly became the most watched series on A&E, thanks to the quirky personalities of the four buyers - Dave "The Mogul" Hester, a big time professional buyer who rankles his competitors and delights in driving up auction prices; Barry "The Collector" Weiss, an independently wealthy antiques collector who more often than not loses money with his finds; and Darrell "The Gambler" Sheets, a brash, but amiable buyer who sells his wares at swap meets while showing his son, Brandon, the ropes.
Quick on the trigger, Schulz often found himself bidding more on a locker than he initially intended, often to the bemused consternation of Passante, who remained the more level-headed of the two. Schulz and Passante were depicted as struggling new buyers who still had a lot to learn, while managing their Orange County second hand store, Now and Then. Some mystery surrounded the couple, as fans remained unsure whether or not they were officially married. Still, they bickered like they were married for decades and did have two children together.
