Best-known for playing intern Pierce on "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC, 2005-), actor Joe Williamson has also enjoyed recurring parts on "Looking" (HBO, 2014-16) and "Here and Now" (HBO, 2018-) and a leading role in faith-based rom-com "In-Lawfully Yours" (2016). Born in Ohio, Williamson made his screen debut in short film "Potosi Road" (2004), and went on to make one-off appearances in "House" (Fox, 2004-2012), "Gilmore Girls" (The WB, 2000-07) and "Las Vegas" (NBC, 2003-08),

Following a minor role in art world mystery "Souvenir" (2006), Williamson guested on "Veronica Mars" (UPN, 2004-07), "All of Us" (UPN, 2003-06) and "CSI: NY" (CBS, 2004-2013), played med student Eric Jameson in biopic "Proud American" (2008) and landed the recurring role of intern Pierce on long-running medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC, 2005-).

He then added TV movie "Healing Hands" (2010), WWII drama "Fortress" (2012) and gothic thriller "The Yellow Wallpaper" (2012) to his credits, enjoyed two-episode stints on "All My Children" (ABC, 1970-2011) and "Bones" (Fox, 2005-2017) and made one-off appearances on "Southland" (NBC, 2009-2013), "Castle" (ABC, 2009-2016) and "Mad Men" (AMC, 2007-2015).

After showing up in disaster B-movie "Red Line" (2012) and conspiracy thriller "Dark Power" (2013), Williamson was cast as Kevin's boyfriend in "Looking" (HBO, 2014-16), bagged his first leading man role as pastor Ben in romantic comedy "In-Lawfully Yours" and showed up in "Criminal Minds" (CBS, 2005-), "Aquarius" (NBC, 2015-16) and "Transparent" (Amazon, 2014-).

Williamson then played drug smuggler Burt on two episodes of "Lucifer" (Fox, 2016-), a murderous husband in TV movie "Secrets in Suburbia" (2017) and a police officer in autism dramedy "Please Stand By" (2017). That same year he landed the role of personal trainer Malcolm Collins in "Here and Now" (HBO, 2018-), Alan Ball's comedy drama about a multi-racial family.
